Francois Leclerc owner, head coach
Francois got his start in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and has been actively coaching for over 10 years. In 2011 he opened Physics Crossfit, one of the very first Crossfit Affiliates in Ottawa which remains to this day a pillar in the Crossfit community . His deep knowledge in strength, conditioning and nutrition and his attention to detail have helped forge National level Olympic Weightlifters, countless Crossfit Games competitors in multiple age group as well as help everyday folk get in to the best shape of their lives.
Kids program coordinator &coach
As an elementary teacher and former gymnastics coach, Ann's skills are perfectly tailored to teaching the fundamentals of Crossfit to our younger generation. Through our kids program, Ann helps them establish the foundation of a healthy lifestyle that will follow them for years to come.
Alex Howard Coach
Having grown up playing hockey and lacrosse, Coach Howard needed a new athletic outlet after high school. He found CrossFit online and became a garage athlete following the original CrossFit blog workouts in 2008. Alex joined Physics Crossfit in 2011 trained with the competitive team and reached the level of CrossFit Game Athlete in 2014 as part of our team. He soon left the corporate world and has spent the last decade studying the principles of health and fitness and honing his coaching skills to help others reach and surpass their goals.
Tim Hemmerick coach
Coach Tim loves playing a variety of sports, running and spending lots of time in the outdoors. He discovered Crossfit while teaching abroad in South Korea where he was able to implement Crossfit's lifestyle and training philosophies and adapt them into his own unique coaching style. His adventurous nature both in travel and exploring the wilderness combined with his passion for health and fitness have made him a fan favourite at Physics.
Marc-André Ferris coach
Coach Ferris came to us straight from high school cross country running and volleyball. Over the last few years he has followed the principles of Crossfit to improve his strength and gymnastic skills and has become one of the most well-rounded Crossfit athletes in the region all while earning his teaching degree. Combining his knowledge in health and fitness as well as his love for teaching, he is able to inspire others to strive to be their very best each and every day.
